seam carving for content-aware image content resizing… or as i like to call it ‘holy cow!’
September 10th, 2007i came across this video on YouTube by way of david pogue’s blog. it is a technology demonstration of a new way to resize photos. while the technology is still in its infancy, as processing power increases, similar techniques could be used to dynamically resize video, so that the same content would look good both on your wide-screen plasma and on your cell phone.
very, very cool stuff!
